The Couple

Jacqueline and Anthony’s love story began far earlier than most. Their mothers were best friends, and the two grew up knowing each other from the time they were just a few months old. Though life took them on separate paths, they reconnected years later during a college break while both were home — and from there, everything fell into place.

This wedding was especially meaningful as the bride’s mother, who had been deeply loved by all, passed away shortly before planning began. To honor her memory, a custom piece of fabric was draped over the church pew where she would have sat. The groom’s mother, who has always felt like a second mother to Jacqueline, lovingly stepped in to help with the wedding planning, making the day feel full of family in every sense.

The Planning

THE VENUE: The celebration took place at The Olympic Club, where the bride’s father has been a longtime member. Its timeless architecture and classic San Francisco charm set the perfect stage for a wedding that was elegant, personal, and steeped in family history.

THE INSPIRATION: Jacqueline and Anthony envisioned a wedding that felt lush, romantic, and elevated without being overly fussy. We chose a soft, neutral color palette of greens, creams, and blush tones, creating a floral and design story that felt timeless and warm. Every detail was chosen with intention, reflecting the couple’s personalities and their love of simple, elegant beauty.

The Details

FLORALS & DECOR: Busy Bees Floral created arrangements that felt full, textured, and romantic — bringing together soft tones and natural greenery to complement the style of both the church and The Olympic Club. The aesthetic was subtle yet striking, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the day.

One of the most memorable design elements was the interactive abstract painting guestbook. Guests were invited to add brushstrokes to a blank canvas, creating a collaborative art piece that Jacqueline and Anthony now display in their home — a keepsake filled with love from everyone who shared the day with them.

SPECIAL TOUCHES: For dessert, the couple chose a small ceremonial cake and then surprised guests with It’s-It ice cream sandwiches, a nod to a meaningful family connection as the owners were in attendance and longtime friends.

Jacqueline’s wedding gown featured a removable train, giving her two looks — one classic for the ceremony and one more modern and comfortable for dancing. And dance they did: the night began with traditional Palestinian music and a live band, an important cultural celebration for the couple and their families, before transitioning to a DJ playing the couple’s favorite modern hits.

The Timeline

THE CEREMONY: Held in their Orthodox church, the ceremony was officiated by Anthony’s father — a deeply meaningful moment that set the tone for the day. Guests were surrounded by lush florals and personal touches, including the beautiful tribute to Jacqueline’s mother.

THE RECEPTION: At The Olympic Club, guests were welcomed into a warm, elegant reception full of candlelight, soft florals, and joyful energy. Dancing, cultural traditions, and incredible music kept the celebration going well into the night, creating unforgettable memories for the couple and their families.
