Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Saratoga Hills, Colie and Daniel’s wedding was the embodiment of love in its purest, most intimate form. This heartwarming celebration was a showcase of the couple’s desire for simplicity and intimacy. With just around 60 cherished guests and an eclectic, low-key vision in mind, Colie and Daniel’s wedding was a symphony of elegance and authenticity.

A Casual and Intimate Wedding with an Eclectic Flair
Colie and Daniel, residing in Seattle, had a clear vision in mind for their California wedding. Their engagement was brief, and their commitment to an intimate, low-key wedding was a priority for this lovely couple. The setting for their special day was the home of Colie’s mother and stepfather, a venue as unique and personal as the love they shared.
The couple’s aspirations were straightforward: casual, simple, and intimate. With the beautiful Saratoga Hills as their backdrop, we designed their wedding to be a private and heartfelt affair. Since the venue was a private residence, the entire event was a BYO endeavor. This included everything from rentals to restrooms, making every detail a labor of love and a reflection of the couple’s personalities.
Colie, with a penchant for color and an appreciation for the eclectic, provided a loose direction for the event. With this in mind, we crafted an elegant ‘wild flower’ theme for the celebration. The result was a wedding that exuded charm and warmth, a perfect mirror to the bride’s personality.
Eclectic Elegance and Rustic Charm
Chloe’s Vintage Rentals played a huge role in bringing the couple’s vision to life. The ceremony was set against the backdrop of the homeowners’ private hillside vineyard. For seating, an eclectic mix of old wooden chairs was artfully arranged, leaving no traditional aisle for the bride to walk down. This unconventional choice of a more casual entrance from the side was a beautiful reflection of Colie’s relaxed spirit.
While the sun bathed the charming home in a warm and gentle glow, colorful parasols were offered to guests, a thoughtful touch to keep them comfortable. The informal atmosphere was highlighted by an eclectic mix of lounge furniture and a creatively converted old horse trailer serving as a bar, all nestled in the home’s circular driveway.
Transportation was thoughtfully arranged as the home had a one-way entry and exit with limited parking. The guests’ experience was a top priority.
A Touch of Whimsy and an Old Friend
Busy Bees Florals contributed to the event’s natural beauty, crafting a deconstructed arch that graced the ceremony. Colie’s bouquet was a masterpiece, a stunning array of organic flowers with a long lilac ribbon. Her gown, with a high neck and low back, added an element of sleek and elegant refinement to the day’s otherwise casual vibe.
A Spanish guitarist provided the perfect musical backdrop, serenading the gathering during the pre-ceremony, the ceremony, and the cocktail hour.
As guests made their way from the cocktail reception to the dinner reception, they were greeted with glasses of champagne displayed on antique ladders adorned with candles and florals. The journey continued up a Spanish-tiled staircase adorned with flickering candles and fragrant flowers, leading to the second-story patio tucked away in the back of the home where the dinner reception awaited.
Guests dined at long rows of tables dressed in lush greenery and floral garlands. Taper candles illuminated the green organza runners resting on exquisite textured ivory linens. Chloe’s Party Rentals provided slim garden-style chairs to complement the setting.
Dinner was a delightful selection of freshly made paella and an assortment of delectable salads. The couple’s charming wedding cake, crafted from dough, featured pressed wildflowers, staying true to the eclectic theme.
Colie and Daniel’s beloved dog served as the ring bearer, adding a touch of whimsy and nostalgia to the day. The furry friend donned a special outfit for the occasion, walking down the aisle with the couple’s rings.
After dinner, dessert, and a few heartfelt speeches, the celebration moved to the after party in downtown Saratoga. The night concluded with laughter, dancing, and unforgettable memories, echoing the love shared by Colie and Daniel.
