Amanda, with her keen, design-inspired eye as a professional buyer for World Market, had a clear vision of the perfect engagement party. She longed for a boho chic soiree, a nod to the rustic and free-spirited vibes that had graced other memorable celebrations Events by Pins and Petals has planned such as Kristina & Luke’s 2nd Celebration. The challenge was to create an event that combined this style with a dash of the unexpected – an engagement party turned surprise wedding.
The scene was set at the home of Jeri, Amanda’s mom, and provided a cozy yet charming venue, perfect for intimate gatherings. With the planning and designing guidance of Events by Pins and Petals, the engaged couple’s dreams would soon unfold in spectacular fashion. The main elements in Amanda’s vision were the boho chic aesthetic, rustic decor, and an atmosphere of heartfelt celebration.
Rustic Boho Elegance
To breathe life into Amanda’s dream, the first step was to transform the space with the right decor. Standard Event Rentals provided the key element – beautifully crafted farm tables, adding a touch of rustic charm to the celebration. Pleasanton Rentals contributed with elegant tabletop rentals, setting the stage for a Boho chic wedding tablescape.
However, what truly made the tables come alive was the stunning florals. Designed by the talented Freckled Floral, the arrangements combined fresh white flowers, dried pampas and bleached fern, and lush greenery. Scattered bud vases adorned the tables, reflecting the rustic boho essence of the event. Their presence was a perfect reflection of how simplicity in design can breathe life into an event.
Custom Party Signage and Grazing Table Galore
As a thoughtful touch, custom signs adorned the venue, including a bar sign that showcased the couple’s signature cocktails. These small but significant details personalized the event and added a touch of signature elegance.
A significant highlight of the evening was the opulent grazing table by Charming Fig. This mouthwatering spread allowed guests to nibble, mingle, and delight in a sumptuous variety of appetizers. It provided the perfect prelude to the main dinner, getting everyone’s taste buds ready for more.
A Kid-Friendly Corner
While the evening was primarily designed with adults in mind, Amanda and Trevor thoughtfully included a kid-friendly corner for all the little ones that were also on the guest list. A vibrant balloon arch marked this special space, inviting children to explore and enjoy their own little haven.
The kids’ table was adorned with playful poofs and pillows to sit on, with crayons and coloring books thoughtfully placed at each setting. The intention was to make the kids feel just as special and included as the adults, adding a sprinkle of whimsy to the celebration.
