In the months leading up to my clients Becca and Rom’s wedding day, a sense of anticipation filled the air. As a fun way to celebrate this milestone in Becca’s life, her sister and I envisioned a day that would unfold in vibrant hues and joyful moments, bringing together a close-knit group of friends and family to honor the bride-to-be. This citrus themed bridal shower was not just a prelude to her upcoming wedding with Rom but a reflection of her unique personality and style.

A Whimsical Palette of Citrus
In a charming blend of creativity and rich pops of color as our inspiration, this bridal shower came alive with an vibrant citrus theme. Imagine a spectrum of colors, from the zesty oranges and sunny yellows to the lively greens and rosy pinks, all balanced like a true art form. With the help of H and J Flowers, lush floral arrangements adorned every corner, each petal and leaf capturing the essence of the sun-kissed citrus groves. Additionally, beautiful balloons by Louboutins and Legos floated gently above the party as their vibrant colors mirrored the zestful spirit of this citrus themed bridal shower.
An Elegant Table Setting
As the guests gathered around a single grand dining table, the scene was set for an intimate and memorable brunch. The table itself, an exquisite piece from Theoni Collection, was adorned with delicate china and flatware for refined elegance among the playful colors and decor. The pastel hues of the place settings beautifully complemented the vibrant floral arrangements, creating a harmonious visual feast.
A Bouquet of Memories
An interactive DIY bouquet station by H and J Flowers awaited the guests for a fun and interactive activity for all to enjoy and take home with them at the end of the day. Each guest had the chance to craft a unique bouquet, combining blooms and colors that resonated with them. The fragrant blossoms, soft petals, and lush greenery became symbols of the love and friendship Becca shared with each person who attended, encapsulating the essence of the day.
Signature Drinks, Savory Delights, and Sweet Desserts
A bespoke bar, adorned with the handiwork of The Teal Craft Room, served as a focal point for the celebration. Here, a skilled bartender crafted signature drinks named after the bride and groom. The clinking of glasses, the sound of laughter, and the refreshing fizz of the drinks filled the air. Citrus garnishes from Citrus and Poppy added a touch of whimsy to the beverages, enhancing the visual and sensory experience.
A feast of flavors awaited the guests as they indulged in a brunch spread that celebrated both culinary expertise and intimate moments. From delectable pastries and baked goods to dishes prepared by the bride’s own mother and Surf Dog Bakery, every bite carried a touch of love and care. An array of macarons and mini cakes from the mother of the bride graced each place setting which added an extra little sweet note to the celebration.
The Champagne Wall That Kicked Off the Celebration
Small but impactful touches enhanced the ambiance of the day. An artful champagne wall greeted guests as they arrived, accompanied by the warm smile of the bride’s father, who personally handed out glasses of bubbly. Each guest found an orange at their place setting, transformed into a floral masterpiece that echoed the theme of the day.

We used this intimate gathering as a toast to Becca and Rom’s love story and built upon the anticipation for the life they were about to reign in. The citrus themed bridal shower represented all the colorful, playful, and rich adventures they will experience as newlyweds. It was a truly special moment to experience.
