A Little Family Re-Introduction
Hi friends, it’s been quite a while since I’ve shared about my family life and since I’ve been getting more consistent with my Events Blog, I thought it was time to dust off the Lifestyle Blog and share some updates outside of my work.
The last few years have been hectic and surreal, to say the least. Despite everything we all went through, and that the world went through, our family came out stronger through it all.

BRIAN
As Brian quickly approaches turning 40 next month, it’s amazing to see how far he has come in not only his career but also all of his handy skills around our home. The last couple of years have proven to be extremely busy for Brian as he found himself right in the thick of all things COVID while working for a diagnostic company that was responsible for creating the first COVID-19 Test. Despite Brian being exhausted from having been knee deep in the finances of COVID tests for his company, he still always managed to take time to learn how to do small projects around the house to kill time on our suddenly open weekends. Brian continues to work hard and play hard, mostly creating fun memories with the kids or having fun at indoor soccer with his own friends, but always makes time to go on fun date nights with me.
POPPY
Somehow Poppy is already a pre-teen and entering 7th grade just this month. I swear she was just teetering around in a diaper yesterday! Being the athlete she is, she continues to play for both year-round travel softball and soccer – both of which she plays competitively. At her age, she isn’t ready to choose just one sport yet, even if it means giving us a little more sanity on our weekend schedules. We still encourage her to continue playing both sports she is good at and wait until the last minute to decide which she would prefer to play exclusively. As always, Poppy is an overachiever in school, though I cannot say the same about chores at home! Nevertheless, Poppy continues to make us smile and remind us that there are kind and sweet people still in this world – even if her brother and sister don’t agree!

HUDSON
My ever-loving science nerd who will soon be turning 11 and is already in the 5th grade – I can’t believe it! Despite Brian praying daily that Hudson would inherit his natural athleticism, Hudson definitely prefers activities that exercise his mind more than anything else. I love that Hudson loves science, chess, and reading books. I love that he loves conducting experiments, though I don’t love when they go wrong (or maybe right for him?) and explode all over my kitchen! With a year of baseball successfully under his belt now, we might finally see Hudson taking after his baseball-playing dad which would make Brian so happy! Athletic or not, we always remind Hudson that being smart, and nice, is what’s most important.
HOLLAND
Our youngest, Holland, is always keeping us on our toes, and the brink of insanity. She turns 9 next month and I cannot even believe it. Holland is taking after her big sister, Poppy, and becoming quite the soccer star as she’s quickly climbing up the team levels with determination. When she isn’t playing on the field showing off her skills, Holland enjoys cooking, baking, and especially loves her arts and crafts which leaves our house a perfect mess most of the time! After so many years of missing out on a normal education, it’s great to say that Holland is finally excelling at school and more importantly, she loves school and especially loves learning!

ERIN
I definitely kicked off the year turning 38 with a huge bang! (Be sure to check out the super fabulous party Brian hosted for me!). The last couple of years have proven to be pure chaos for me, but in the best of ways. From being over-booked with clients year after year to driving carpools, slinging snacks for the kids, and making sure to spend quality time with Brian and friends, I still look back on the last couple of years and think “WOW!”
From family trips to Las Vegas to Cabo San Lucas to Arizona, we have finally gotten into the swing of things when it comes to navigating traveling and adventures with kids. My business has taken off and excelled more than I could have ever imagined and it’s because of this that we were able to enjoy so many fun vacations together. I would never complain about being too busy with work, but I am excited that I have finally reached a point in my career that I do not have to be completely and overwhelmingly booked as I can be more selective with my clients and the events that I take on throughout the year. Being more strategic with my bookings allows me to focus on the clients who are as best for me as I am to them. This includes some notable weddings that have all the potential to leave people speechless and in awe and even get features in magazines like Brides and California Wedding Day. Though each day I continue to grow, thrive, and push myself and my company further and further, at the end of the day I love coming home to my family and having the luxury of spending time with them during the week as I can make sure my schedule allows me to be a hands-on-mom as much as possible. Of course when I am not working and on mom-duty, I love my DIY projects around the house that keep me busy, cooking and baking for just about anyone and everyone willing to eat, and let’s not forget spending time with my husband enjoying nights away where we aren’t being tugged on by the kids every second! Life is all about balance and that is what keeps me sane during the most stressful of times.
Thank you all for joining my family & I on this crazy adventure. I can’t wait to share more with you as we reach more milestones and create more loving memories together.
Until next time!
