Scrap Fabric Wreath

Another wreath? Seriously. What has happened to me? That’s a rhetorical question because the literal answer could be quite long… But yeah. I made another wreath. I’m killin’ it over here on the door front. Get it???

While trying to organize my fabrics and remnants and scraps I realized that I have a lot of little pieces that I can’t use for much but that I didn’t want to just toss. So I decided to make a wreath out of it all.

I used an 18″ green metal wreath bass that has multiple rings attached to it. Sorry, I didn’t photograph it. I bought it at JoAnns.

I then just tied my scraps with a double knot onto the different rings in no particular pattern, just making sure to not cluster too many of the same color in one area. Once I was done tying all of the scraps on I trimmed it up a bit so there weren’t any straggly pieces.

I tied on another long scrap so that I can hang it from the 3M hook on my front door. I also made a cute little birdy “hello” sign on my Cricut with 2 different papers and tied that on with bakers twine – which clearly has many uses other than baking!

Altogether it took me a couple of hours to make this wreath. But it’s so fun and funky and colorful. It really brightens up the front door!!

P. S. I may start selling these in my etsy shop, so keep a look out for them if you’re interested in buying one!!

Enjoy!!
